NOTE: Due to the location of the estate, on the 3rd floor of a larger apartment building, it is logistically impossible to hold an open, public sale on all dates. For Thursday and Friday, we have to take appointments to guide our buyers into the sale. Saturday will be open to the public, so just show up. We may have to limit the number of people in the apartment at any one time, but all are welcome.

For well over two months we have been sorting through and working on this sale. It is without doubt one of the most involved estates we have ever had the pleasure to work upon.
The owner was a dedicated collector of fine and contemporary art and beautiful items that cover a wide range of tastes and genres. The art covers so much territory: from whimsical to abstract, plein air to street life, beautiful old and valuable etchings, exotic to erotic and all chosen with taste. The depth and breadth of this collection is unlike any we have ever offered in our extensive estate sale history.
Amongst the many lovely paintings is a fine selection of etchings, woodblocks and lithographs. Some of these are quite old and valuable created by artists such as Albrect Durer, Van Leyden, Cranach the Elder and others from modern artists such as Picasso, Matisse and Dali.
And there is so much more beyond this huge and amazing collection of art.
There are sculptures, bas reliefs, dioramas, fascinating figures. Of particular interest is the 25-years worth of African Art collecting. It is simply marvelous and of true, vintage quality. This is a very exotic collection and one that you are unlikely to find again. A simply beautiful array of tribal masks, bronzes, figurative carvings, seats, stools and benches.
There is quite a bit more in this collection:
- A Marvel hero original art from the 1980s,
- A small, but fine, pipe collection featuring a selection of carved pipes by the famous carver Eyup Sabri
- A collection of contemporary and exotic perfume bottles
- Several hand made Persian rugs
- A custom boot collection, Italian sweaters, exotic and fun clothing, belts, jackets, shoes
- A big selection of survival gear and tools,
- A really cool designer king-size bed
- A nice book selection, household goods, furniture and more

We will be taking appointments for this coming Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (June 17th, 18th, and 19th). I am posting images of most everything art related and there are over 300 images on our estate sales listing. But there is a ton more to discover at this sale and we simply cannot post it all.
